I was in Australia recently where the current is 220 vs. 110 in NA. The battery in my camera ran out while I was taking pictures of Sydney. Thanks to its portability, I had an extra battery with me which saved the day. I had charged it at home, and I would have been hard pressed to charge it in Australia where you need a special adapter to convert the current to NA standards.Bragged by: Digitallica
