The price was great for the 4GB memory, so I ordered this product to back up a large project I am developing. I was extremely pleased that when I put the device into my laptop (modern Dell using Windows XP) that it immediately formatted and installed itself. I was able to begin copying and saving files immediately and easily, which is important to a non-techie such as myself. Thank you Kingston for not forcing me to have to read one instruction or speak to someone in a foreign country.Bragged by: Gnosh
